I forgot my opinion. (My hub would be shocked.) After figuring that the greens fees rebate and free entry once a year would eventually cover the costs, I bought the membership because I thought, "how often can you buy a lifetime membership for anything for $300, especially something of which you have an interest." But, the biggest reason I got the lifetime membership, and I think anyone gets a lifetime membership for anything, was for ease of use. I wouldn't have to worry about sending in a payment each year and yet I would automatically get the benefits. With this, my big gripe is that they have taken that ease of use away by expecting their members to call in every year (usually more than once) to get their benefits. Who does this? Again, rude if not very unprofessional. Having said THAT, I will say that I have yet to get an unfriendly cust svc person when I call. They are all very kind and friendly, so it makes the yearly calls a bit more easier.

Not sure how all of you who got items to test did it. I've been a Life Member since January 1999 and have never received 1 item to test. Yes, I've filled out all the information to do so but have never received anything. I'm a 10 handicap and play 100+ rounds per year while spending loads of money on new equipment, apparel and golf vacations. Oh well. What i'm concerned about right now is the new Golf Magazine subscription. If I understand the letter, we're now entitled to the magazine each year. As Life Members, does this mean we now have a "life time" subscription to the magazine? If so, what about those of us who have recently paid for a new 3 year renewal? I can't find a Customer Support link anywhere on the club's site to ask the question. My guess, we're just out the money we just sent to Golf Mag to renew.

As it states in the letter, if you have questions, contact them toll-free at 1-888-672-2223 and they will be happy to discuss them with you.
I think we all should flood them with all our questions, since there seems too many that need to be addressed.

I have been a life member since 1997 or 1998 and the best I have been sent to test was a sleeve of balls. I recently, Jan. 5, 2010, received a device to test called "The Glove Grabber" with an on-line address of www.partnersclubonline.com/report to guide me to the blank and file my report. I could not find the report and I was redirected to the Golf Partners Club with no way to search for the report or button to tell me I was warm. I searched the entire site as far as I know and still found nothing so I will complete the report and MAIL it. This is nothing new with this group that sponsors so many other similar groups. Who ever builds their websites does not have us in mind. As far as testing anything worth more that $15 to $20, NOT in my ball park. That applies to the other three clubs I belong to as well. I am a life member in four total groups and they keep trying to get me to "Up-Grade" or join another group. I will not give another dime, nickle or penny for anything else until they start responding better for the monies I have spent already.

Just thought you would like to know. I became a life member in 1998. and am very unhappy with the changes and requested a refund of my membership fees. After many complaints and phone calls, today I finally got some satisfaction. I was sent 4 complimentary rounds of golf At Harbour Town Golf Course at Sea Pines Plantation on Hilton Head Island. If you are also unhappy, don't give up trying to get some satisfaction. Just be polite and persistent and ask to speak to someone who can make a decision.

Good afternoon! It looks like there are quite a number of questions in this thread, regarding the Product Testing program. I would like to take this opportunity to explain this popular Club benefit. Please let me assure you that all current members of the Golf Partners Club are eligible to test products. In order to participate however, you need to fill out a tester Profile form which can be found under Equipment at the top of the Club Web site. Due to the popularity of this benefit it can take 6 to 12 months for you to be to be selected for a test. The timeframe will vary based on the number of products that manufacturers want tested and the number of members willing to test at any given time. Testers are selected in the order their Profiles are received, based on the responses on their Profile form. Once you are selected to test, a notification message will be sent to the E-mail address on your file. The message will include a link to report on the product. Test products usually ship directly from the manufacturer and should be delivered within about 3 weeks. We ask that you test your product and fill out a test report form as soon as possible. If you do not submit a report, you will not be eligible to test products in the future. Members are allowed to test 1 product per year. If you have submitted a product report and want to get in line for another product you must update your tester Profile form. This lets us know you want to test again and puts you back on the tester list. If you have any questions about the Product Testing benefit we have built a comprehensive FAQ section which you can refer to by clicking here: http://www.golfpartnersclub.com/Main/FAQ.aspx.
We are always glad to hear from our members and if you have any additional questions just click on the Contact the Club link at the bottom of the Web site. Peter Webmaster Golf Partners Club

Mr. Web Master
I have asked several times now for my green fee rebate coupons and nothing ever shows up. I got an email from Peter at member services telling me the same thing they all do and that is sorry...please wait 3 to 4 weeks. He also said if I receive nothing after the first week of March send him a private message. HOW THE HELL DO I SEND A PRIVATE MESSAGE

I agree whole heartedly. I play 3 times a week year round (I live in arizona) and the best thing I have ever received is a sleeve of Top Flight golf balls that had already been member tested. I have noticed that about 90% of the winners all come from east of the Mississippi!!! Takes a little work, but anyone can look at the lists of winners and see for themselves that this is true. Overall, I would rate this club at a 4 out of 10.

I guarantee you if you come in here more often and really see all of the empty promises and total lack of giving a rats patootie, your rating will be much lower. If you can read this and you are not a life member....RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
