Just returned from my Feb. golf trip. Went south after the big snow. Started out in N.C. played Tobacco Road (a little wet) very tough course. Then the new PineLakes in Myrtle Beach. I think it is a better course now. Rivertowne c.c. in Mt.Pleasant S.C., then down to Fla. Sugarloaf Mountain g.c. in Minneola. Golf Week mag. rated it #4 new course opened in 2009 in the country. Kinderlou Forest c.c. in Valdosta Ga. Shark's Tooth in Lake Powell Fla. Lost Keyg.c. in Perdido Key Fla. Very tough, tight course, "not for novices" (lost 8 balls). It is a course you must play a few times. Grand Bear in Saucier,Ms. Carter Plantation in Louisiana. Atchafalaya g.c. at Idlewild also in La. Golf Weeks #1 ranked course in La. Koasati Pines at Coushatta, Kinder La.- Contraband Bayou g.c. at L'auberge Lake Charles. and the Links at Cottonwoods in Tunica Ms.all great courses. The course I had hoped to play in Alabama Was closed the day I got there. "Limestone Springs" in Oneonta. Great trip-only lost 24 balls.
