Hello all, we have received a few posts and questions about a few of the club benefits that members were curious about, below please find answers to the more frequently asked questions:

On the Tournament Pass: While the pass program will not be operated in the same way as prior years, we are continuing this benefit.  The form of redemption will just be different.  We believe the new program is even better for members.  First, your benefits can apply to ANY professional golf tournament, not just the participating PGA TOUR-sanctioned events.  This now includes all four of the Majors as well.  In the past, we were only able to get about 75% of the PGA TOUR tournaments to participate.  Second, instead of arranging for the pass ahead of time by contacting a tournament, the Club will simply send a cash rebate directly to you after you pay for and attend an event.  Because the tournaments are not directly involved themselves, you must buy your ticket and attend the event as you would normally.  After the event, simply follow the required process, and you’ll get a rebate of one day’s attendance.  As was always the case, a maximum of one day’s attendance per year per member will be covered by this benefit.  A maximum of $25 per rebate will apply.  See the “Tournament Pass” box within the “Member Benefits” section on the member website.

On the Green Fee Rebate: There has been no change in terms of the availability of this program.  If that has been suggested by others, they are incorrect.  To be fair to the Club, this was never a “standing” and perpetual benefit of the Club.  It was generally only offered as an incentive to join the Club.  We did not include that benefit in our Lifetime Membership offers.  That said, we will provide it to members as you request it, for the foreseeable future.  As has been the case for anyone who ever received this benefit, there are some procedures related to this program.  See the “Green Fee Rebate” box within the “Member Benefits” section on your member website for details.

You can find links to these benefits on the Member Benefits page.

Thank you!

Well, that's wonderful news. So my free pass will now have to be paid for, then validated and then sent into the club for a rebate of $25 which is less than the cost of the ticket.  Sounds like a real deal.

Or perhaps just another broken promise. Please put me down as a reference for prospective members. I would love to tell them just how great my membership has been.

Wonder if it will take as long to get your refund as it did to get the passes?? Frank

As a charter member and life member, I am very saddened and dishearted over the cutting of ties with the PGA Tour. I have noticed several comments about he club being a sham.... I disagree. I am currently testing my second product and the club has been good to its word so far. I have one problem though. I cannot find the phone number to reach member services on this website. It needs a major upgrade and revamping. Can someone post the Toll Free Number to the Club's offices?

Webmaster Peter, I just read a post from life member "smalltommy" about his disappointment with the "non-Burton" golf bag he just received. I contacted member services after notice of the switch to Golf Partners Club and was told all the Life Member benefits were the same but the bag would be delivered without the PGA Tour logo. They didn't tell me you changed to a different bag. Is it true as "smalltommy's post says and you're not delivering Burton Bags? I am a member since November 08, and have been enjoying all the benefits. The forums and instruction books/video series have been great and the Burton Bag made paying the Life Membership fee worth the cost of membership. It was the deciding factor in becoming a Life Member. There is no mention posted about a change in this benefit. Where do we stand on this?

Obviously, they are not really reading these forums. They are putting junk messages out there with no substance to them. There is no actual responses from anyone in the club. Do not ever think you are going to get any.

I was hoping for a little reassurance. I did receive a response answering my inquiry about the bag early January when I emailed concerns after the changes were made. Member Services replied I will still get my cart bag and the only change would be sans PGA Tour logo and should get it between 4-6 weeks. That's fine, but after reading some other posts, I began wondering if it would be the Burton bag I was promised. Time will tell. I'll post what it is when I get it.

The loss of the PGA sponsorship has definitely effected the services and website accessibility. I hope they use our money which we so gladly paid to become Life Members and improve their services. I wonder if they could return the access to the website where we could enter in our stroke scores from course to course. I don't have a USGA handicap and I don't really want to have multiple websites to use when I can use just one. It has been an extremely long time since I have visited this website and unfortunately I have been reading about other members leaving these services, even those people who paid for the accessibility and comaradie shared in these forums. I recognize several names and hope the "GOLF Partners Club" can regain those lost to other services and retain me as a consistent user of their services. Good luck to you all and hit'em hard and hit'em long. (quote Bill Murray) It's in the hole! John

On the back of your membership card you can call 1-800-PGA-TOUR (1-800-742-8786). The number is valid and does reflect the new Golf partners Club identity.

Member Benefit - Burton Bag: I just received my bag today. I posted concerns earlier about the status of the bag after the Partners Club changes and other posts I read about their bag. I received a Burton Cart Bag, just as originally promised with the PGA Tour/Partners Club Logo and my name embroidered on the side exactly as it is depicted in the promotion literature. It has 13 full length dividers, external putter tube and umbrella pocket. The only thing that may be different is my name appears embroidered in a slightly smaller font than depicted in the picture and a little lower on the panel. I signed up in late 2008 and took a full year to pay off my dues (Dec. 2009) and received the bag in about 9 1/2 weeks. If anyone else is concerned about the bag, I can tell you it is the same quality, Burton bag we were promised when we signed up. I am pleased with the club and look forward to enjoying more benefits as a Life Member.

You will not be enjoying anymore benefits as a life member. I became a lifer 3 years ago and have only received one test product (a stupid rules summary book) and spent 8 months in Email hell with them telling me I never filled out a test product form, even though I was doing one daily for months. I dont even think my registering for the contests works either, but I cant get a confirmation from them on that either.

It seems to me that "Peter" is just a figment of the clubs imagination. He said send him a private message if I dont get the rebates in time and so I did and have heard nothing. Maybe they dont send stuff out to us in Canada....lol

When I first requested my rebate coupons, I was told to wait for two weeks. After six weeks and nothing, I sent them another email. The reply was to wait a few more days. Good tihing that I am not holding my breath!! An entire company built on false promises that hands out occaisional tinkets to keep you hoping for more. Sounds like our goverment.

Similar problem here. I have been waiting for 2 months now for new coupons. Each email I send the same response "wait longer". I sent one in last Oct. and was told it could not be processed at that time and to wait until after the first of 2010. Now they tell me they have no record of my request at all. Oh well, at least I get a magazine. Oh wait, I already subscribe to that. 75 and sunny here today, I will be on the first tee at 1:00.

I have asked 5 times now for the rebates and each time i retry I get the same spiel. We are sorry according to our records theyhave been processed to be sent out on such and such a date. This Peter guy said send him a private message if I dont receive them so I did. Have heard nothing back and then I get another regular email saying the same thing. By the time I get these rebate forms it will be too late for the first quarter....that is if I ever get them.

Craig,

I have sent an email to you regarding your Greens Fee rebate. Attached to the email is a rebate form you can keep and reuse to submit your quarterly Greens Fee rebate going forward. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the club by either calling Member Services at 1-888-672-2223 Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (CST) or emailing memberservices@golfpartnersclub.com.

Skipro, maybe if you send him a private message by clicking on the message bar in one of his posts he will get back to you eventually. It took him a few weeks to reply to me but eventually he did. Just don't hold your breath.

So are these forms generic? Where you have to fill in all of your info or are they personalized for the individual? If they are just blank then why not just post a link on this site and we can print them as needed. Frank

I have to say it is FRUSTRATING to read members here now getting the Burton bag they were promised.
I have been a member for several years and was promised the burton bag in my welcome packet.  I got the Nike Bag instead.  As you are all well aware it is not nearly as nice as the Burton.

That is just plain BS if you ask me.

burton bag? The Nike bag must have been really bad because the burton they sent me has suffered broken zippers and the interior "full length" seperaters to keep the clubs apart have all failed and torn out.

Before I joined I talked with someone in golf partners club and the tournaments I wanted to go to they said the pass was no problem and I would be able to get one a year. Thats the reason I signed up because the lifetime package was reasonably priced and I figured that one ticket even every other year I would get my investment back. I feel that I have been dupped along with thousands of other members. If there are any lawyers on this site I think we have a class of misrepresentation in order to make money. Please advise

I have been requesting the Tournament Rebate since February of 2010. It is now nearing the end of July, 2010. I have called the 800 number eight times and sent in emails, and each time was told the rebate form had been sent out, and I would receive it within 10-14 business days. I have yet to receive even one of these forms. What are the chances that the only eight items I have had go missing in the mail are the eight items the Club has allegedly sent to me? If there are members who are willing to go forth with a class-action suit for misrepresentation, I would be very happy to join in. Fraud is fraud, no matter how it's sugar-coated.

I became a life member in July of 2009. I am still waiting for the golf bag that is supposed to come with the life membership. I have email and been promised that it will arrive in 4-6 weeks five times over the past year. Is anyone else finding that once your money is received, the customer service ceases?
