If you don't enter tournaments that require a handicap that you pay for (country club, etc), I have written a handicap system that follows all the guidelines to compute your handicap index.  You can play any course from any tees.  It was written a long time ago and runs under DOS.  It is very fast.  The screens make entry and displays easy.  All the programs required for it to run take about 1/2 MB.  I keep track of the guys in my group, so there is no need to negotiate stokes every week.  The best part is, its free.

Here is a link to Gametrack; a free handicap service. This used to be available from the old Pga Tour Partner's Club. http://www.freegolfinfo.com/gametrack3/

For anyone else out there that has a home PC, I would be glad to send a copy of my program to you along with a short user guide.

Golfman 40, I don't know where you live but there is bound to be a golf course close by that offers the USGA handicap service for a small fee.

Thank you DonFranks for posting the game track URL. I posted a question about it in a different forum too. I can understand why golf partners club is no longer referencing the service as they are clearly a competitor in other services. Maybe someone in their corparate office will read between the lines and get this website up to speed. Still reminds me of my college buddies website, in his first year! Thanks again Don.

Hello all,

I haven't been in the forum in a while, and I just read a few messages that have piqued my curiosity greatly.  For those that remember me, hello again.

Anyway, the handicap site is NGN.com, it is still under the PGA Tour Partners Club name (I think). I believe I saw a link to it under tips or equipment as I perused the new site a few weeks ago.

That being said, if you live in Indiana, NW, I am trying to start a USGA golf club.  If anyone is interested, you can contact me anytime.
