I am a new golfer and just curious how many clubs I need. I realise i shoudl have a putter and driver. I would like to know what the best amount of woods and Irons ai should carry in my bag. Any help would be appreciated

Welcome to the frustrating world of golf. 14 clubs is the maximum you can carry at one time. Usually a putter lob wedge sand wedge pitching wedge irons from 9 to 3 a five wood three wood and driver is standard but a lot of players especially amateurs exchange 4 and 3 irons and some woods for hybrid clubs which are a little easier to hit for the most part.
